How To Get Quick Traffic From Forums
December 19, 2011 by admin
One of the easiest ways to get quick traffic to your website is through forum marketing. Most forums let you add a signature file to your account that automatically gets added to every post you make. You can get people to click through to your website by including a link to it in your signature. But there are some important factors that will affect just how many clicks you get.
The key to getting more traffic from forums is to be a contributing member of the community before you try to drive traffic to your site.
If you immediately add a signature link when you join a new forum, don’t expect many visitors because those people don’t know you yet. And if you start out by making a lot of useless posts just to get your signature seen by people, it might even have the opposite effect – not only will you get little or no traffic, you might even get banned from the forum.
The right approach to forum marketing is to provide value first and foremost. Respond to other people’s posts and become part of the community. You’re probably best to not even add your signature right away, especially if the forum is in a market where marketing isn’t as accepted.
For instance, it’s probably going to be more acceptable to add a signature right away in the internet marketing niche since most of the forum’s members would likely be marketers themselves.
Treat forum marketing much the same as you would face-to-face marketing. You wouldn’t hit people with a big sales pitch the first time you meet them, so why would you do that in an online community? While you’re not meeting them in person and the internet provides a degree of anonymity, you should still use good manners.
Once you’ve become a part of the community, then you should add your website to your signature, along with an offer of some sort if appropriate. This could be a free report or ebook, a webinar recording or any number of other types of incentives. By offering something to the forum members, chances are you’ll get a lot more clicks on your link.
Secrets To A Killer Resource Box
December 12, 2011 by admin
The resource box is one of the most critical factors to being successful with article marketing. The resource box is what convinces people to click through to your website, which is ultimately the goal of article marketing in the first place. In this article, we’ll look at a few strategies for getting more people to click your resource links.
First, it’s important that you realize that your resource box serves two purposes:
1. Those links to your website create more backlinks and help to push your site up in the search results.
2. You’ll get direct traffic when people click on those links and visit your site.
Because the resource box pulls double-duty you want to be sure it’s going to be as effective as possible for both purposes. You need to be sure that you have some good anchor text links pointing to your site, but don’t do this at the cost of convincing readers to click through to your website.
Making a strong call to action is probably the most important factor. Don’t talk about yourself and how much you know about the topic – just make an offer that’s going to get the click.
For example, if you spend a bit of time looking at articles in any article directory you’ll see a lot of resource boxes that go something like “John Smith has been writing about topic ABC for over 5 years.” And “topic XYZ” is probably hyperlinked back to the website.
Does this work for getting your anchor text links? Sure. Is it effective for getting the click? No it isn’t.
Instead, you might try something like this:
“Now you have the 5 most important steps for getting more out of topic XYZ. For another 5 secrets that will improve your results even further, visit BlahBlahBlah.com.
Click here to learn more about Topic XYZ”
You’ll still get your anchor text links but this is going to get a lot more clicks to your site. In this example you might have a “top ten” list that you split into two separate articles – part 1 and part 2.
Put the second part on your own site and submit the first one to the article directories. Part 2 is the incentive you’re offering people when they click your link.
You can also offer incentives like a free report or ebook, a webinar recording, a free audio recording, etc. They key is to give people a good reason to want to visit your website by clicking those resource links.
Why Getting More Traffic Isn’t Always The Answer
August 13, 2011 by admin
Driving more traffic to their website is a common goal for all internet marketers. More traffic is better.. That’s not always the case, however, and too much of the wrong traffic could even hurt your results. Let’s look at how that can happen.
First, let’s be clear about “right” and “wrong” traffic. The right kind of traffic to go after is visitors who are not only interested in what you have to offer, but they’re also willing and able to take action on it.
The wrong traffic to chase is visitors who either can’t take action on your offer, or aren’t interested in it in the first place. For example, if you target a market that is unlikely to have a credit card, such as young teenagers, it’s a lot harder to sell them something.
A lesser amount of targeted traffic is more effective than a ton of untargeted traffic. You’ll have better conversions even with less visitors, and this can help improve your results, especially in the case of Adsense sites.
If you have a lot of poor quality traffic coming to a site that displays Adsense ads, it will cause your clickthrough rate to drop since less people will click on the ads. This can cause your cost per click to drop as well. The exact algorithm Google uses to calculate how much you get paid is obviously a well-guarded secret, but it makes sense that they are going to pay you less for poor quality clicks than they will for high quality ones.
The quality of your traffic is even more important when you’re paying for it. It’s easy to get a LOT of traffic by bidding on broad terms in your niche, but that’s really just a quick way to go broke.
Most of that traffic won’t convert into sales and you’re just going to be throwing money away. This might make for some impressive traffic numbers, but it’s not going to do much for your bank account!
Again, you won’t get as much traffic when you bid on more specific terms but what you do get will be a lot more targeted. As you find keywords that perform well, you can scale those campaigns up, but start slow and ease your way into it, especially when you’re first starting out in a new market or with a new website.
Is Social Media A Waste Of Time?
July 22, 2011 by admin
Social sites like Twitter and Facebook have been a hot topic for the last couple of years, with various “How To Market” products showing up on the market. The trouble is, a lot of people who use these sites for marketing purposes wind up giving up because they don’t get the results they’d hoped.
Does this mean marketing on social media is a waste of time? Not necessarily. It simply means that you need to approach them effectively.
Part of the reason social media isn’t very effective for a lot of marketers is because they approach it as some sort of broadcast tool to get their message in front of a bunch of people at once.
They follow as many people as they can on Twitter and Facebook. Then they just start broadcasting links to offers and other things they want to drive traffic to.
But they never try to develop any kind of relationships, so they’re just more noise that most of their followers never even see. And worse, if their followers are doing the same thing it just become a vicious circle, with a bunch of people yelling into a vacuum.
The proper way to treat social media is as a long-term relationship builder. Rather than just start pumping out one self-serving update after another, spend some time interacting with people. Respond to other people’s updates, ask questions and get to know some of the people you follow, or who follow you.
Share stuff that has value even if it doesn’t benefit you in any way. Social media is much the same as the “real” world, and this is how you would build relationships in person.
Once you’ve started to build those relationships, people will be a heck of a lot more likely to click on things you have to offer.
Of course, it kind of goes without saying that you need to be sure that any offers or other content you send people to needs to be high quality. Otherwise you’ll only fool them once or twice before they quit listening to what you have to say.
Spend a bit of time on relationship building before you try to pitch anything to your followers and you’ll probably get much better results from social media.
Traffic For Sale On The Web
June 24, 2010 by admin
How would you like to receive 60 million targeted visitors to your website each month? Basically, if you are prepared to purchase web traffic from companies that specialise in this particular area, then this is the volume of traffic you can expect to get – at a price! The website traffic visiting your site comes from a targeted market of people interested in similar sites, ensuring their attention is more likely to be captured when presented with your own site. Many companies ensure targeted traffic visits to your website by using spider bots, auto surfs or dedicated software to direct attention. The better companies do not do that: they direct traffic to their own designated websites and utilise the exit window pop-up/pop-under concept which is highly effective.
Some of the best traffic generating companies charge around $10 for every 2,500 individuals to your site which is a far better option that spending $10 for 1000 banner impressions where an average click through rate is a mere 1%. The reputable companies offer as little as 1,000 guaranteed visitors for a little over $2 with statistics measured in real-time visits over a 24 hour period so you can keep an accurate record of visitors. However, as with most other things on the web – ‘Buyer Beware’. You could end up paying out to a scam firm and, if you know how to, check the code behind the professionals’ website, you might find out more than you expected! Some less reputable companies are posing as legitimate companies selling web traffic when, in fact, they are really money laundering behind the scenes and using the purchase of web traffic as a legitimate ‘front’ to allay suspicion.
Even though most web traffic sites are thoroughly reputable businesses, it does pay to do your homework because there are definitely more than one disreputable company out there on the World Wide Web currently. So, do your homework first, no matter how desperate you are for web traffic. Then, of course, you need to be prepared for a regular flow of traffic. What are you going to do when that little trickle becomes a stream and then becomes a flood? Well, that’s what you wanted, isn’t it? What you need to do now is capture those visits and build a steady relationship with your virtual visitors while leaving enough space for more to come in.
How Is Social Bookmarking An Effective Traffic Generation Tool
June 19, 2010 by admin
One of the most effective and fast ways to succeed in your internet marketing business is to benefit from the great traffic that social networks have, or as it is most commonly known, from social bookmarking. There are many platforms and groups that pull in large numbers of people and draw general attention. So using them as a means of advertising can only be useful for your business. Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Tagged, are just a few of them where thousands of people congregate and form communities.
Social bookmarking is a technique that allows users to save links of the web pages they visit and like, so as to share them with their friends and other community members. Users are free to discuss, review, vote and comment on all the blogs, article sources and websites they visit. They then submit a link so that the rest of the users can see and review it or leave a feedback. If the number of feedbacks is positive then that website is most likely to be visited often by other new members or even the regulars who will be checking for updates and news. Users tend to click on banners and online advertisements, mostly out of curiosity and that can be a great advantage for you if you use some banners that direct to your website. Remember that users can upload and add links that they like, and most of them do that so as to show their friends, what kind of websites, products and services they follow.
One of the most helpful tools in bookmarking is that users can categorize the bookmarks, according to their topic, using tags. This means that search
engines will be able to track down your website and check it when a user searches for one of your tagged words and keywords. This also means that if you are
or become a member of one of those communities and social networks, you will be able to tag your own website and make it possible for the search
engine crawlers to find your site.
One of the biggest advantages that these networks offer is that you can create a small website in the social community and provide information about yourself
and your business. When it comes to this way of self advertising, it is good to remember that the same rules of internet marketing apply. Your page needs to be interesting and informative so that people have a good reason to visit it and then spread the word.
The most important thing is to create a good reputation in these social communities. If you do that bookmarking and traffic will inevitably follow.
Get Traffic The Right Way And Avoid Disasters
June 13, 2010 by admin
In trying to build some serious traffic to your website, you probably ended up reading all possible suggestions, tips and hints and a great amount of advice that came from all sorts of experts who claim to have the best solutions for your online business. Inevitably and undoubtedly you would have heard useful things as well and maybe you are already thinking about how to implement them in your business strategy, trying to increase traffic and potential revenues.
The problem most of the time is that people read too much and try to implement everything at once, thinking that if they do everything they increase their possibilities of success. Unfortunately it doesn’t work this way and most importantly if you don’t have a plan and you don’t build a strategy, whatever you do will be random acts and desperate measures that would inevitably lead to a traffic disaster.
Make a detailed plan of your strategy, as if you are playing a strategy game and you need to know when and how you will move your troops. You cannot achieve anything accidentally, especially not in a world where thousands of businesses are trying to get a piece of the pie and do the same things you are trying to do. Unless you are really lucky, if you are not focused and well prepared you will fail.
Since you cannot do everything at once it is a good idea to start focusing on particular methods and techniques that suit you and can work for you. If you are not a keen writer, either don’t do article marketing, or hire a freelancer to do it for you. Try to choose the technique you prefer and become an expert in it. It will probably be the best idea.
Once you spend some time perfecting one technique, you can put it in action, monitor it for a while and then, after getting some serious results you are ready to go to the next step. You will be in a position to evaluate yourself, your abilities, as well as your limits so you will know what works better for you and what you can still ameliorate and enrich.
Generating web traffic doesn’t happen overnight, and you need to stay focused and determined in order to be able to succeed. Do not make the mistake that many online businessmen seem to make. Do not overestimate your abilities over the others. Everything has its own way and you should find the one that is more practical and versatile for you, so you can apply the theories you have been reading up on and achieve your goals.
What Targeted Traffic is and How to Drive it to Your Website
June 2, 2010 by admin
If you’ve been interested in Internet marketing for a while then you have no doubt heard about how important it is to drive traffic to your site. But traffic alone won’t bring in the profits. What you need is targeted traffic.
What is Targeted Traffic?
Targeted traffic refers to people who are already interested in what you are marketing. Consider this: Suppose you have a website that caters to some aspect of weddings. If only a small portion of your site visitors are interested in wedding topics then you have a small chance of generating revenue from those visitors. But what if the majority of your site visitors were interested in weddings? Then you would have a much greater chance of generating revenue from those visitors.
How to Target the Right Traffic
In order to bring targeted traffic to your website, you will need to market to the group you are trying to sell to. For instance, if your site caters to weddings, be sure and visit discussion forums that are about weddings. Place a link back to your site in your signature line and when other members of the forum, who are interested in weddings or they wouldn’t be there, click on your link, you have driven targeted traffic to your website.
As you can see, the key to successful Internet marketing isn’t simply to drive traffic to your site but you want site visitors who are interested in what you are promoting. So you need to look for places that people in your niche hang out online and market accordingly.
Building Your List
Since you are concentrating on getting the people who are actually interested in your niche to visit your site, don’t pass up this opportunity to get their email addresses when they do visit. Offer your site visitors an incentive to provide their names and email addresses by offering them something too good to pass up. This could be a newsletter, an ecourse, an ebook, a special report or any number of things your site visitors would likely be interested in receiving, for free. This is not the time to charge; that will come later. First, you want to get their names and email addresses so you can build a list that you can market directly to via email. Then, instead of just having a massive email list, you’ll have a list of people that you know are interested in your niche and will be much more likely to generate profits down the road.
How To Choose Traffic Generator Software?
May 29, 2010 by admin
When you have an internet business the most important thing you need to do is to try to generate as much traffic as possible, as this is the only way to increase your potential for more sales and customers. Monetizing traffic is your goal and in order to do so you have to use under certain and strict planning, all popular means of generating traffic.
If you surf the net you will probably come across many websites advertising traffic generators also referred to as traffic generating software. You may wonder what that is all about and if it really works, since generating traffic is a process and cannot happen in a plug and play way. There are many types of programs out there. Many of them are considered to be really helpful and useful, being seriously automated and wont even have to bother doing anything yourself. These programs however do not come cheap and if you are an amateur or cost is something really crucial for you then you should think twice before you go in for them. On the other hand there are some low-rated and low-tech applications that can do 50% of the required SEO job for you, but you need to monitor their work and make sure that they do it right. These are definitely budget solutions, but always keep in mind that they cannot perform miracles without you. Actually nothing can, without your personal intervention.
What do those programs do and what should you look out for? Most of them take your articles, target the right websites and submit them, or do the same thing in various databases and directories. They cannot write the articles for you but they can help you in placing them somewhere out there, where it is possible for people to see them thereby increasing your visibility. These programs are indirect traffic generators, as they do a particular job needed in order to increase your possibilities to get the desired traffic. They can achieve higher rankings and they can do much of the necessary SEO work for you.
Traffic generating software is not really a revolution in SEO process. They can be helpful but it all depends on the money you can spend and the time you have to monitor them. Never though consider them as the ultimate solution. A well planned marketing campaign and SEO are the first steps you need to take. You can use the software only as a complementary element.
Is There Such A Thing As Free Web Traffic?
April 21, 2010 by admin
If you surf the internet you will often come across the term ‘free web traffic’. It sounds really nice and attractive. You cannot deny that really as it has the ‘free’ factor attached to it. But there are two questions here that need to be answered. What is free traffic and if it does really exist?
With the term free traffic we refer to strategies and plans that can generate traffic without spending any money at all, or when you get the desired traffic without paying any traffic dealer or trader – practically without hiring professionals and companies to do the job. However charming this term is though, it could not be further from the truth. There is no serious professional that will tell you that you can get free traffic for your online business.
First of all, generating and monetizing traffic is something that cannot happen from one day to another. It takes time and effort, and usually a few months pass before you see some serious traffic coming your way, provided that you have done some persistently good job the previous time. And what does this good job mean? It means that you provide the potential customers and clients with some value and value is something that by default cannot be completely free. Even if we don’t talk about spending money in order to pay someone to write something for you but you do it yourself, you will spend some serious time to either write a blog or article, advertise your work, and make yourself known. Only if you consider your time worthless, traffic can be really free.
What is true is that you have the option to choose how much money you will spend in order to generate traffic. Spending too much money is definitely optional, as you can choose not to hire expensive professionals and outsourcers and do the SEO job yourself, or hire someone for little money. Dedicating time, especially if you do
everything yourself, is not really optional. In this case you have to invest a part of your everyday life in order to plan and launch a marketing campaign that will make your company known and will bring traffic and potential customers to your business. The harder you work, the better the results.
In any case, you will have to spend some money to have a domain name and server support, buy some software that will help you with a marketing strategy and maybe something that will keep track of emails and correspondence. Remember that in order to make money, you need to spend some money. The amount is up to you, but do not start your business believing in fairy tales.
